Sunset & Night Photoshoot in Nha Trang | Flash Lighting & City Lights

We started this session by the sea before sunset and continued after dark in the city. I used controlled flash lighting throughout the entire shoot, which allowed me to light the subject separately while still keeping the color and atmosphere of the background — first the sunset sky, and later the lights of the city at night.

At sunset, the challenge was to keep both the person and the bright sky looking balanced. Without additional light, you often have to compromise between a well-lit subject and a rich sunset background. Flash made it possible to preserve both. After dark, the same approach helped separate the subject from the city while keeping street lights and evening bokeh visible in the frame.

I like building sessions like this around contrast: first the open space, sea and last colors of the sunset, then a completely different environment with dark streets and artificial light. It is one photoshoot, but visually it becomes two distinct parts of the same story. I photograph evening, urban and portrait sessions with professional flash lighting in Nha Trang and Cam Ranh.
