Individual Photoshoot in Nha Trang | Park, Beach & Evening Light

We photographed this session together with a photographer friend. He worked closer to her with a wide-angle lens, talking to her and suggesting where to walk, how to turn and what kind of mood to try. I stayed a little farther back with a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 and concentrated on the moments between those directions — a look, a movement, a reaction or a brief pause.

She was not a professional model, but she quickly became comfortable with the process and was very good at expressing emotion. As a result, some photographs are more composed, while others feel almost spontaneous — especially when she stopped thinking about the camera.

We photographed in the evening, moving between a park and the beach in Nha Trang. The 70-200mm allowed me to keep some distance without interrupting the interaction, while the soft light before sunset worked beautifully with both the greenery of the park and the sea. For me, this series is a good example of how a strong individual portrait does not require professional modeling experience. Good communication, clear direction and noticing the right moment matter much more.
