Love Story in Sunset Town | Romantic Photoshoot in Phu Quoc
We did a little preparation before this photoshoot. Before we met, I sent the couple several love story references and ideas — not as a fixed list of poses, but as suggestions they could try in front of the camera. They chose the ones they liked, and during the session they used some of those ideas very naturally.
We photographed in Sunset Town, Phu Quoc in the late afternoon, moving from one street and stairway to another and using the architecture as part of the composition. Closer portraits, movement, small gestures and the moments between more posed photographs worked especially well here. Because the couple already had an idea of the mood we were aiming for, they looked comfortable in front of the camera rather than having to figure out every pose from scratch.
As sunset approached, the light became warmer and the mood of the series changed with it. For this couple photoshoot in Phu Quoc, I wanted to preserve not only attractive portraits, but also the feeling of an evening walk together through Sunset Town — so the location would remain part of their story.
