Morning Photoshoot at Sheraton Phu Quoc: Tropical Gardens & Beach
Individual Photoshoot at Sheraton Phu Quoc
This morning session took place around the grounds of Sheraton Phu Quoc. We used several parts of the resort — tropical gardens, open lawns, large trees and the beach. A single light summer outfit tied the series together, while the changing surroundings gave us noticeably different photographs without the need for multiple wardrobe changes or complicated setups.
In the more open areas, the morning sun created brighter, more contrasty light, while under the trees it became softer and calmer. We moved between sun and shade, mixing close portraits with full-length images and using the trees, greenery and shoreline as natural backgrounds. The entire series was photographed using natural light.
What I like about this kind of session is that there is no need to turn someone into a different person. A portrait can be beautiful and expressive at any age — what matters more is finding the right light, angle, body position and surroundings in which the person feels natural. Complicated model poses are not necessary; calm direction and a little time to become comfortable in front of the camera are often enough.
I am now based in Nha Trang and photograph individual and resort photoshoots in hotels, tropical gardens and on the beach. This format works especially well during a holiday, because several different locations are often close together and can create a varied gallery within a single walk.
