Family photoshoot at Grand World, Phu Quoc: canals, bridges, colorful architecture and relaxed portraits during a walk through the complex
Family Photoshoot at Grand World | Phu Quoc
This family photoshoot took place at Grand World on Phu Quoc Island. We walked along the canals and bridges, stopped by the colorful facades and used the architecture throughout the session for both family portraits and individual photographs.
With two children, the session naturally became more spontaneous than any fixed plan. Some photographs were taken while the family was walking, talking and exploring the area, while others were more composed portraits. Mixing the two gave the finished series more variety and kept it from feeling repetitive.
I worked with natural light throughout the session and deliberately included plenty of wider environmental photographs showing the family as part of Grand World itself. For travel photography, I think the place matters just as much as the close-up portraits — years later, those wider photographs bring back not only how the family looked, but also the canals, architecture and atmosphere of the holiday on Phu Quoc.
